Let's face it.  Puppies are so cute, but they are a lot of work.  Most people prefer them to older dogs because they want a pet they can train from birth.  They are afraid that a mature dog may have picked up bad habits that are hard to change. 

THE TRUTH IS, ALL dogs need to learn how you want them to act in your home.  They are not psychic.  They could all benefit from some type of individualized training in an effort to promote a happier and healthier environment in which to co-exist with humans. 

It is very important to start training as early as eight weeks of age, or as soon as you adopt your pet, so that any problems can be addressed.  The trick is to start early and be consistent.  Applying the effort in the beginning will save you a great deal of time and money in the long run.
